First cutscene

Now that we have our 2 animations saved and our subscene walk sub, we can now create our first cutscene.

For this, open the story management, go to Cutscenes, create a new one, we will call it walk cut and click on the gear icon to assign the subscene walk sub.

TIP

If you want to assign only animations instead of subscenes, click on the gear icon while pressing shift

Then, click on the button with the name walk cut to enter the cutscene maker editor.

You will be teleported to one of the recording in spectator mode.

Timeline

You'll be greeted by a timeline on the bottom. This timeline works with layers and keyframe.

To access it, press T (or your key to open your chat)

On this cutscene, we are going to create two path, one of a camera following their movements walking on the side, and then a little zoom in front of them when they are stopping.

To do so, first add the first layer by pressing the + button, you'll have a menu with different layers, choose Camera.

It will add a camera layer on the timeline. Now, position yourself on the first location, and press the + button on the layer to add a keyframe, a white point will appear.

You can move it, edit the values on clicking on it, and delete it.

Now go to the second location on moving the playhead and going to the second location and press the + button to add the second keyframe.

Now, to preview your path, go to the beginning on the timeline and press the play button and you'll preview your camera path.

Now, we are going to add a transition.

To do so, add a new Camera layer.

Bring your playhead to the last keyframe of the first layer, go to the first location on where you want the transition to start and press the + button on the second layer, then go to the second location, and add the second keyframe on the second layer.

Now, you have created your first cutscene, with a transition!

If you are satisfied with your cutscene, press the cross button and click yes if you want to save.
